Pte Edmund Nutter

To Commemorate the
Death of
Private Edmund Nutter
31st. Batt. M.G.S., C.O.E.F.,
Died of wounds received on the
Somme, Sept 4th, 1916
Aed 31 years;
Laid to rest at the British
Cemetery. Contay, France.

He didn't stop to reason when first this war began,
But went and did his duty as a soldier and a man;
And when the last reveille sounds, and when the battles wonn,
His Maker, whom he's gone to meet, will smile and say, "Well done."

True to his King, his Country, and his God.

289, Brunswick Street, Nelson.
