Colne Railway Servant Killed
Mr. and Mrs. Edwards,of 215, Burnley-road, Colne, have received information of the death in action, on August 20th, of their only son, Sapper M Edwards, of the Royal Engineers. The deceased soldier had been in the Army three years, of which two years and two months had been spent in France.
Before enlisting he was employed in the locomotive department of the L & Y Railway Co. at Colne. He was formerly a member and worker in connection with the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Colne.
