It was mentioned and quoted by Roger Frost in his Peek into the Past back in February but I cannot find a copy of the book Hannah.

Obviously old and out of print, it'll be a rare book shop search and probably cost a pretty penny. Do Burnley library have a copy that you could look at there? I doubt that it would be a loan book but there may be a reference copy?

I got the quote from the Express, Ref. Library don't have any record of it, maybe I should do my own version :lol: :lol: :lol:
Or do my impression of J.R Hartley and wander around old book shops :roll:

Abebooks.com is well worth keeping an eye on for this sort of thing, although local history books do tend to sell for ridiculous amounts because - although only 50 people might want the thing - those 50 people will be willing to pay stupid amounts for them.

Alibris is another good one. Same goes on there, can be very overpriced.

I recently paid under £10 for a book and saw it later on one of these sites for over £50!
