Hi everyone,

I bought the one for £60! It's more than I wanted to pay but I desperately wanted to get hold of a copy before my mum died. Some of my dad's ancestors are mentioned in there (Dearden/Duerden).

I found it through an Amazon link and given that the guy I bought it from offered to buy it back for £50 I considered it a win/win deal. But I've decided it's a keeper, it is so rare to find any sort of paper trail for any of my forebears, albeit sadly in this case a description of the poverty they lived in.

If anyone wants anything looking up or photocopying for their records I'd be happy to help.

Another copy has just sold on ebay this evening for £51.

It really is a great book and well worth every penny.

Usually the last Wednesday in the month Stephanie. They stop during the summer though, I don't think we have meetings in July or August.
