Copies of Parish Records can be found at Lancashire Record Office.
C 1599-1991, M 1599-1987, Bur 1599-1915 and MIs
Also at Burnley, Colne & Nelson Libraries -
C 1599-1900, M 1599-1900, Bur 1599-1899
There is also a marriage index for the years 1813-1837 at Colne & Nelson Libraries.

And published all the way from 1599 to 1812 !

(Lancs Par Reg Soc 1599to 1653, 1654+ variously through Wilfred Spencer c. 30 years ago, and John Bentley c. 1990)

But sadly the earliest years aren't transcribed. Have you tried viewing the microfiches for 1599-1654? Crikey, it's a struggle. Waterdamaged, 500 years old, and not amazingly scanned. Not great for research purposes really...

The earlist years are transcribed, Lancs Par Reg Soc 1904 !

"Lancashire Parish Register Society 1904" I'm presuming? Would those be the dusty old books on the left hand wall in Burnley library? If so, then I'll be making a beeline to those tomorrow. Thank you so much for pointing this out - the librarians didn't think that they'd been transcribed!
