the Elizabeth Leaver who was James Kippax's 2nd wife had 3 children before they were married -John 1851, William 1856 & James 1859. Gloria, Kris & I have speculated elsewher on this site as to who the children's father(s) may have been but it is mystery unlikely ever to be solved.
All the Leavers you mentioned are already on Leaver's tree on the main site. I would say that can rely on whatever you find there as he, like most people on here, is very particular about verifying stuff before he adds it to his tree.
I will pm you what I have about Edmond as it's a bit lengthy.

Age !!! again !!! I had got it into my mind that James and Elizabeth had at least one child prior to James' marriage to Mary. On the 1841 census they are living as neighbours at Hollingrove Farm, but she is only 10.
I must be losing the plot somewhere :?
