Hi I am new here so am starting with posting my family names of interest as follows:

Daniel Laycock b. 1821 Briercliffe married Ann Crabtree b. 1828 Briercliffe
Daniel Laycock b. 1856 Burnley married Elizabeth Huyton b. 1861 Ormskirk

Both Daniels were stonemasons as were their sons. Daniel Laycock b. 1856 was my gr. grandfather.

I have their children and other information if anyone would like more please ask.

Keen to hear from anyone in particular who is linked to these people as I have inherited photographs which do not have names and would like to put names to said photographs if at all possible.

If you go to the search facility at the top of the page and put in Laycock, it will bring up a few references to the name.

It would seem there is someone else from my tree on this site. Having done the search as suggested I find the Bannister/Laycock/Crabtree conversation but who are the nutters???

Ha ha there are quite a few nutters on here, and a lot of us are related to the Nutters.

One of my grandmother's brothers, William Henry Bannister b1864, married Laura Laycock b 1863, the daughter of Daniel b1821 and sister of Daniel b1856. I am in touch with William and Laura's granddaughter who (if I've got it right) is your third cousin once removed. PM me your email address and I'll tell you more.

I have a Hannah Laycock born 1811 who died in 1885, she married a Hartley Tatham. Is this lady in your family at all, her parents were possibly, I am not too sure here, Isaac Laycock a stone mason and Nanny (Ann) ?

We have Hartley & Hannah on our tree too. Their grandson (via son John) married Betsy Leaver -which is where it joins up with us.

Burnleymasher I have Isaac and Nanny in my Laycocks yes it would seem we have the same family. I have found Nanny to be very elusive though and wondered could that be a mistype for Nancy maybe?

Did Hartley and Hannah's son, John, marry Margaret Pickles? John is my Grt Grandfather, if he did then we have the same connection. Referring back to Nanny, I find her quite confusing too, I have her on an 1871 census living with Hartley and Hannah at Duckpits as a widow, but she now has the name Walker!!! she is 82 years old.
