>From the Salt Lake Herald May 26 1898.
Mrs Susannah Clegg died at the home of John B Green on Tuesday after an
illness of about 3 weeks.She was born Sept 15 1825 in Burnley
Lancashire,where she was married to Thomas Proctor June 16 1845 at Holmes
Chapel.She joined the Mormons in 1851 and emigrated to Utah with her husband
and family in 1854.Mr Proctor died in 1866 and in 1868 she married Thomas
Clegg ,he died a year ago.The deceased was the mother of 11 children 4 of
whom survive her,George Proctor,Mrs Susannah Wagstaff,Mrs John B Green,Mrs
Thomas Parker,wife of the mayor of this city,American Fork
