I know one or two people are doing Greenwood trees. Does anyone have a Harry Greenwood, born 1892, son of Uttley Greenwood and Violetta Greenwood (nee Greenwood)? I have a small book by him about his life (including photographs). Not sure my husband would want to part with it but I'd be happy to pass on information about it if anyone's interested |

I wish they were, David - it's a pretty magnificent tree! However I don't think we have any Greenwoods at all. It just happens that we have this book we inherited with various other odds and ends from my father in law and I wondered whether it might contain information that would help someone else with their family history. I'm guessing he had the book because for a while he went to Colden School. I don't suppose you could come up with anything nearly so spectacular for the Limb family from Heanor in Derbyshire can you ? (Only joking) |

Yes, but I couldn't make a connection with these people. They seem to be from a different area and moved about a bit. Mine seemed to never have stirred for generations. They were also from a line of stonemasons rather than miners. But thanks for looking. Maureen |
