Looks like an irish wolfhound, hadn't noticed it until I blew the pic up a bit. Is there any way I can blow it up bigger than just clicking on to enlarge it, I would like to fill the screen if poss.

You can copy and paste the image to a word document and then increase the size to 500%

Above the words "Corrin and Banks" and "Briercliffe" are some marks, which look, when blown up that they may have been words. I cannot make them out but I do think by the spacing they look like they should say something. Can anyone blow these up any clearer?

I'll do a higher res scan. It does say 'copy' in the bottom right corner above Briercliffe

It does look like there was writing there but there are marks covering the writing. I have emailed the scan to you Gloria - it's made quite a large email so may be slow to reach you.

He who thinks he should be obeyed has just had a look. He has played around with the various functions in the photo editing program we use and there is no writing. It is scuff marks and the card is crazed, this is what looks like lettering in places.

This is a photograph taken at Briercliffe by Corrin & Banks, does anyone know when this studio was open and where it was located?

Barrett’s Directory of Burnley and District, 1899
Corrin & Banks, photographers, Jubilee st, Briercliffe
Corrin Miss Mary, School house, Haggate
Corrin Saml., joiner (j), 20 Jubilee street, Briercliffe
