 Had a minor breakthrough, my 5X gt.grandfather lived and died in Newchurch in Pendle, but, his father was born and died in Rylstone, where his son George, was born but moved over the border.

How do I trace a john Thistlethwaite in Rylstone, he would be born about 1720, do I contact the local church to look at records.

There's a nice church at Rylstone http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/Ph ... Peter.html

This is the link to the Genuki info for the church - records available and the location. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/Mi ... stone.html
