Post subject:  Connection of family trees

Hi,
On the family tree pages as submitted by Kristian Baxter can anyone put me out of my misery.
Is the John Leaver of Descendents of John leaver the John who is son of Thomas Leaver and Nancy Thornton in the Descendents of James.
I did have previous correspondence with Kristian but same old story - Computer meltdown and emails not saved to backup

I have not yet established a connection to the Briercliffe mob (yet). My mob is from Beckley and Northiam in East Sussex and my Great Grandfather was Thomas Leaver (1821-1879) who migrated to Australia in 1849.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Kris will probably be online later and be able to answer this himself.

Hi Bill,

I don’t think so. Unfortunately there are a few John Leaver’s who were all born around the same period so it is difficult to differentiate.

We (Maureen and I), are researching 4 or 5 Leaver trees that all originate in the Briercliffe area. I believe they will all connect at some point, but at this time we cannot find information to hook them up. Three of these trees can be found below.

James Leaver (1710-1755) http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/paf ... pafg01.htm

John Leaver (1806) and Mary Jackson http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/paf ... pafg01.htm

John Leaver (1848) http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/paf ... 3.htm#2382
