Time to play the game of "Finding Images of People for Stephen's Family Tree" again! Images from two 1936 weddings. First off, on the left, we have two gentlemen shown at the wedding of Willy Bray's (grandson of Sarah Kippax - to keep it topical) sister-in-law. In attendance is - obviously - Willy Bray himself (b. 1900). Now, his grand-daughter swears that that's him in the hat with the fag in his mouth, with his brother Les Bray (b. 1910) next to him (sans hat). The two photos on the right are two images of Les Bray from another 1936 wedding (that of his sister). I've included the two different images because I have two copies of the same photo and, as you can see, the two are stretched in slightly different ways. The controversy (such that it is) comes from the fact that Les' own son states that it is not his father on the left, and his cousin further states that the man without the hat is, in fact, Willy, and not Les at all. However, I'm inclined to believe that the behatted man is Willy, whilst the man to his side is Les. Simply because he looks almost identical to the gentleman in the right hand photograph. They seem too alike to be brothers (ten years apart in age), but what do you lot think...?

I don't think the guy in the hat is the same guy as the two pics on the right. And I'm not convinced the hatless guy is the same as the other two either. |

Gloria - thanks for the contribution! There's no suggestion that the Chap With Hat is the same as the gentlemen on the right. To suggest that the Hatless Chap doesn't look like them either though does lend another vote of support to the view of Les' son, though... Stephen |

Think I am in agreement. Mind you, I recently saw three or four pics of my Nans brother at various ages. I would never have known they were all of him!! |

I think that the hatless chap and the chap on the right could be the same bloke, they appear to have the same chin and hairline to me. Stephanie. |

Stephanie, Thanks - that was very much my thought, too. I do worry that on the right, his face is a little more...wide! Stephen |

I don't think the photos on the right are either of the two in the photo. The hairline looks different to me. |

They have the same low eyebrows too besides the same hairline. Stephanie. |
