Does anyone have any family memories of Elizabeth Boothman, who taught at Haggate School?

She was born in 1891. In the 1911 census she's recorded as a teacher. I'm informed that she taught at Haggate School, probably until she got married in 1929.

She married William Place and they ran the Commercial Inn/Hotel in St James's St Burnley - they were living there in 1939. They had no children.

There is a Burnley History Society, they might have some information on the Commercial Inn when they were living there. Might be worth a question.
Have you looked on this site under Haggate school photos, 1925-1927 it shows a female teacher who could be Elizabeth, looks to be a similar age?

Thanks for that tip. It's possible that the teacher is Elizabeth. Unfortunately I don't have any other photos to compare, though I have a distant contact who might be able to recognise her.

Best wishes,
Dave
