If enough folk wrote, picketted, lobbied..or whatever, would someone somewhere take the bait and provide funding for a make-over? Is there a TV program which does such things?? Notwithstanding the state of Extwhistle Hall today.....nothing's impossible - right? If all the folks registered in the society wrote in saying how we cannot sleep because of the impending erosion of this valuable heritage building...do you think....maybe....? Who are the 10 richest folk in UK? Do any of them come from the vicinity? How about a writing campaign? Can someone write an article for a Heritage magazine telling the story of the Hall, taking a bit of licence, and grabbing the attention of the masses. Perhaps a hysterical reno frenzy would ensue..... Oh, excuse me! I do get carried away!! Interesting article, Burnleymasher! |
