On Saturday 9 April there is a Family History Road Show at the Brief
Encounters Visitor Centre at Carnforth Railway Station 10am to 4pm.

As well as stands of several Family History societies including LFHHS,
there will be several trade stands.

I think we will go but it will be getting onto lunchtime before we get there. Got somewhere to go first but it is on the way.

As much as I'd like to, I doubt I will be there. Too much on at the moment and perhaps a little too far north for me really.

It's not far from the junction after Lancaster on the M6, would take you less time to get there than to get to Burnley-----will see you if you get there :lol:

It's another 30 minutes (approx. 20 miles) according to google maps.

Do you have a link for the event Gloria please? Perhaps one that details stalls/Societies?

This is a copy of an e-mail advertising the show sent by Lancaster and Morecambe branch of LFHHS

On Saturday 9th of April
at Carnforth Railway Station
Platform 1
we are joining with our friends in
Cumbria and Furness to help you with your
family history research.
Lancashire Certificate Services and
The Lancashire Library Services
will be on hand, together with
the greatest selection of helpful books and
aids on Genealogy, thanks to Terry Walsh
and the ‘Family History Partnership Book Stall’
