The following site gives not only info on Durham miners but also the list of deaths and how they died in the other mining disasters in the UK. It's quite an extensive site and makes very good reading if you have a miner in your ancestry. Well worth a furtle. http://www.dmm.org.uk/mindex.htm |

I stumbled across it looking for Samuel Lockett as I knew he had worked there as a miner, and I thought he may have gone back there from Burnley. It mentions amongst many, the Altham Colliery disaster and names the dead. |
