Has anyone got the current copy of Family Tree Mag.? Is there an address in it for someone who can 'tweak' and old picture with a face on the back of a group of about 80 employees? They all look the same but if it was computer enhanced, ( that's what I meant to say before) it may help me.? :|

I have a mag and will take a look for you.

Are you able to scan it Hannah?

I've had a look through a couple of different mags and there are no adverts for imaging services! I am amazed. I wonder if it is because so many people now own computers and play with the imaging software?

If you are able to scan it and upload it (via the Photobucket website) there are several talented amateurs on familytreeforum.com who may be able to help, several of my photos have been enhanced, cleaned or coloured successfully (its free to join)

 I think the answer to all the replies is, What? Mel, it is the war hero picture I mentioned and I think it is too small but I don't know.

Does your helpful friend/neighbour?

If not, if this can wait until the next time I am up that way, I'll pop in with my scanner and see what we can do.

He says the picture is too small, so if you come this way, let me know, I'll put the kettle on.

I have a zoom digital microscope which displays the magnified image on your computer screen. http://shop.stanleygibbons.com/index.as ... ckID=R7521

:? :? Nice idea but the price is a bit more than I can splash out on for one picture, but thanks for the kind thought.

I am not asking you to buy it. If Mel can add the photo as is, then maybe I can use my microscope to capture a better image. It might work.

I'll email it to you once I get it Kris. It could be a few weeks though as we go away soon.
