Does anybody have any old photos or know any information about these parades, I'm talking about just after the wars.

I have a relative (Samuel McWhiney b. 1877) who served in the Boer War and then WI, who apparently used to lead these parades on a white horse I cannot find anything to confirm this.

You might stand a chance of finding something in the Burnley Express archive at Burnley library Patricia?
They have quite a good index for the paper so maybe that would reduce search time?
