Is this the Sutcliffe whose sister married John Leaver?

Portia, I don’t think there is any connection, but I need to check my files. Mel, do you have any info on Joseph Sutcliffe?

Ok, this is what I have on Bannister Leaver...all census.

1851
HO107/2251/1 folio132 pg 18
Blackhouse Lane

1861
RG9/3073 folio 100 pg 12
Blackhouse Lane

1871
RG10/4152 pg30
Lane Bottom

1881
RG11/4155 folio 65pg18
Lane Bottom Briercliffe Cum Extwistle, Lancashire, England

1891
RG12/3371 folio 145 pg 9
35 Lane Bottom

1901
RG13/3868 folio 25 pg 2
35 Halifax Rd, Briercliffe
Neice Mary Elizabeth Sutcliffe also at this address

I have him as being a son of James Leaver and Martha Sutcliffe.
Martha was born in Worsthorne in 1806 and was the (eldest?) daughter of Moses Sutcliffe and Betty Sutcliffe.

Martha's brother, Simeon, also married a Leaver...a Jane Leaver who was the daughter of a James and Betty Leaver. I think Joseph mentioned in Bannisters will is the (youngest?) son of this Simeon and Jane. This is them in 1891 and 1901
In 1891 Joseph's occupation is shown as 'Cotton Weaving(manager)'.

1891
RG12/3371 folio 145 pg 10
40 Lane Bottom, Briercliffe

1901
RG13/3868 folio 29 pg10
40 Halifax Rd,Briercliffe

Interestingly, Joseph also married a Leaver...Linda Mary Leaver who was the daughter of a Thomas Leaver and Sarah Sutcliffe. Sarah is connected to my Sutcliffes though I don't know if there is any connection between her and the Martha Sutcliffe who was mother to Bannister!
Joseph and Linda are buried at Hill Lane, their gravestone is on the site http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/Sutcliffe_496.php. Kris has also found a will reference for both of them I think.

Ohhh my brain hurts. This is one that'll have to wait till I get home and have a play with my tree.
Anyway I realised last night that the tree I was barking up in was likely the wrong one. The Sutcliffe I was thinking of was James. But maybe I can fit all these other leavers and sutcliffes into the puzzle somewhere.
Thanks

I'm not sure. I have 5 siblings for Joseph - John, James, Grace, Elizabeth and Annie.

I think, but this is not confirmed, -
James married an Ellen Emmott in 1875
Grace married Hartley Kippax in 1876

I have nothing for the others.
