Hi all
This is my first thread - here goes...
Does anyone have any information about the Marquis family (eg James T. (born 1852), Victor (1887), John (1780) or Gibbon (eg Marion 1891) or Ecroyd (eg Maria 1859, John 1827).
My mum Kathleen (Kitty) nee Marquis has recently died and I have no one else to ask but would like to find anything out.

I have none of them in my tree that I know of, but, if you want me to look for them on the censuses I can do that for you.

1861 census----I have found a James T Marquis born 1852 USA living in Accrington. His sister Martha was also born USA, the rest of the family including the parents were born Lancashire.

1861 census Ecroyd family living in Accrington, all born Lancashire

Samuel Eccroyd 7
Maria Eccroyd 2
Eleanor Cliff 30
