In the photo archives there is a picture of a rather suave gentlemen, Halstead Lever. Does anyone know of a connection with my branch of Halsteads...? He looks the spittin' image of my dad when he was a young man..Jack Halstead.
Also, you mention that Donald Taylor was a founding member. My dad mentions him from time to time and I believe they were special friends as kids and youth. Jack, Donald and Sidney Shoesmith were best pals. I am assuming Donald died, given the past tense. Any information would be appreciated on his life...so I can tell my father.

Suzy, Halstead Leaver (1917 – 1994), was the son of James Leaver (1884 – 1936) and Sarah Jane Pilkington (1880 – 1950). Halstead’s father James had a brother also named Halstead Leaver (1882 - ?), and this Halstead was named after his step Granddad Halstead Helliwell (1833 – 1907). As far as I know there is no Halstead surname connection.
