It's amazing how information I pick up on this site. Sam Foster was my father's cousin. What I didn't know until I read the most recent Foster entry last week was that Sam and my father died within months of each other in 1988. Dad died in April. Elizabeth Ann Leaver was their aunt. I don't remember Sam, but I do remember her. And Alwyn Barker, another person I don't remember, was a friend of Dad's.

My Grandma lived next door to Elizabeth Ann Foster and William Henry Leaver, at 13 Atkinson street.

What was your Dad’s name?

Dad's name was John Foster. You probably won't remember him. If he was still with us he would have been 96 this year. Interestingly, he lived for the first 30 something years of his life at 6 Atkinson Street.
