Yes, definitely going again this year. I will take note of the talks this time, and perhaps listen to more. I do love a wander round there.

A bit more about it-----

Admission is free and all areas used for the ”Celebration” have disabled access.

Commercial, voluntary and public organisations with links to family history will host stands, display materials and offer advice on how to move forward with research.

Amongst the groups present will be:

Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society (incl. Chorley Branch)

The “Celebration” should appeal to anyone interested in family history, particularly to family historians with a Lancastrian ancestry. This is an event not to be missed!

Do you know what talks there will be Gloria?
I'll perhaps have a sniff round the web to see if I can find any info later.

'During the day, there will be talks related to Family History'

Shame they don't publish the program here. Enthusiasts could plan their day around the talks that are of interest to them.

Cocked up last night. I invited my parents and in-laws for a meal on Saturday night, forgetting that I will be out all day and not able to cook said meal!

Luckily mum asked this afternoon what time we will be back on Saturday. M-in-law had to re-jig her weekend but I am now cooking Sunday lunch instead. I only want to show off and feed them my home-grown veggies! 8)

Is it my age?

It starts at 11am so I will probably be there soon after that, have a quick look round, see what the talks are, and then plan some lunch around that. What time do you hope to make it?

Yes I have, I presume you mean the invite to the book launch. I have rung him to say we are going but we may have grandaughter in tow--all good fun. Are you coming??

Yes, niece and I. Mum was joining us but has a funeral to attend.

I have had a preview of the book when I visited Roger before my holiday. Local stuff as always.
