I think the Rushton comes from his grandmother, she was Betty Rushton.

Do you think thats a possibility for 20th century deaths? I hadn't thought of it.

Anything is possible. Could be easy done, looks like you have a walk through the death indexes again. Got to be worth a look.

Not today...don't think I'd have the patience today.

My Mum did say earlier that some relation to her mum (my Nan) moved out to Canada about 1910 and asked if she (my Nan) wanted to go with them but her mum (my Gt Gran) wouldn't let her (my Nan).
I've yet to figure out who these relations were as this is the first I have heard of it. I wonder????

Thanks Gloria.
I'm going to get the details of these from my mother in law. She has credits and tells me she'll take a look for me. She's a nice lady :)

That was February Rushton. He married Annie Doble Love on 13th May 1904 at the United Methodist Church, Burnley.

The December Rushton married Hannah Mills on 13th Aug 1894 at Burnley Catholic Church. As no-one else in the family was Catholic, I assume Hannah was.

This is the gravestone at Wheatley Lane for February Rushton

Thanks, I have Maureen. I did all the Sutcliffe pages for every quarter from 1901 (he is on the census) to 1971 on the index as freebmd isn't complete. He's not there. He's either been missed off the index or he wasn't in England or Wales.
